Time Crisis welcomes the challenge of pushing modern music forward by blurring the traditional lines that separate genres. The Pennsylvania-bred duo fuses electronic and organic sounds to produce an audio experience that is both progressive and catchy. From sequencer to six string, vocoder to violin, Time Crisis takes full advantage of an expansive sonic palette.

The duo began when Will Brown and Jon Markson met in Connecticut, where the PA natives attended college. Upon meeting, both were equipped with a unique take on music shaped by their respective upbringings. Markson was accustomed to the eclectic buzz of Allentown, while Brown embraced the urban boom bap of Pittsburgh. Markson was taken aback by Brown's vertical stature and hip-hop instrumentals. Brown was equally enthralled by Markson's moustache and guitar playing. The two bonded over a shared sense of humor and a passion for wildly expressive music, and Time Crisis was born.

Fameless Fam is honored to present the self-titled debut of Time Crisis. Ten songs deep, each track is as much a journey through the human heart as it is an exploration of instrumentation, arrangement, and voice. This true collage of the sonic-spectrum, from hip-hop to glitch-pop, to post-rock and back again, sets the stage for fellow Fam, partyboobytrap, to contribute their personal touches, including accompaniment from the acclaimed DJ Emoh Betta, and words from Virtue and Exquisite Corpse. With the addition of turntablism and poignant rhymes, Time Crisis' sundry sounds take on yet another layer of emotion and character.

Programmed percussion and live drums bounce with vigor, cloudy vocals sing triumphantly through the aural haze of acoustic guitar shattering over rolling bass lines and shining synths. This record encapsulates the mosaic of our generation through collaboration, and is sure to mark the start of a collective that will offer us honest and progressive music for years to come.

Comment: well... lulz to the 2 heads who posted before me, while Time Crisis didn't personally cause me to be spiritually reborn this is a great piece of music, an eclectic, vivid and unique fusion of many musical styles that doesn't come off contrived and feels totally NOW. the vocal styling of the uber talented partyboobytrap's Virtue & Exquisite Corpse find a great home over Time Crisis' extremely musical & audibley crisp sonic soundscapes. next level ish fo shizzly, the TC album is an earnest, heartfelt, intelligent piece of music ushering in a new era for this young crew Fameless Fam who are sure to have much longevity in the musical universe. support this new wave of virtuous musicians and emcees who have a lot more going on than the brainless lemming swaggrats currently hijacking the new music scene. bong.

Comment: Ditto. Similarly, my soul was reconstituted by this impossible and magnanimous collection of musical genius(es). I take a daily dose of Running From Giants with my cup of coffee and vitamins. Thankyou Time Crisis for leaving me meditative, contemplative, and face-upturned to the wild unpredictable of every moment. Music like this makes the world turn over in it's sleep and smile.

Comment: Before I heard Time Crisis, I was having trouble getting up in the morning. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror. It seemed like life had long checked out of my skeezy motel of a body. I would stay up all hours of the night listening to drone bands I had never heard of and listing my house, car, and personal possessions on ebay just so I could bid with others for them under a different username. Then, one day, it happened. I was arrested for trespassing and failure to comply while mowing the lawn of the house my parents used to live in and refusing to stop. After returning home from the police station, I noticed an unfamiliar facebook tweet on my screen... "Download the new Time Crisis release, everything is ok!" I pressed the download key and pushed my earbuds as far as they would go into my ears, ready for anything. The opening track has clips from a movie that I have never seen. It sounds like a great movie. the second track drops and I feel like a 300 pound weight has been removed from my chest. The song has a west coast feel that reminds me of home. I write a prayer in my prayer journal that the rest of the album will be this good and listen on. The 3rd song, Pen to Paper, introduces a new man's voice. It is a gentle voice that blends well with the guitar beat. By the end of the song, I remember how to smile again. The 4th song is called Bricks. It is about bricks but the bricks are a metaphor. The Crisis style has started to take a hold of me. I am not the person I was when I left the police station to say the least. As the song ends in a chorus of men, my vision begins to blur. At this point, I have lost both my vision and hearing entirely. My consciousness becomes eclipsed and I am overwhelmed with a feeling of bliss that I am unable to describe. In other words, the polar opposite of the most intense pain I have ever experienced in my life. When I come to, the 9th track, Turbulence, is just ending. At this point, I'm still not sure what happened. I slam the computer shut before the final track is even half finished. Tears run hot down my face at a frequency of 12 tears per second. I involuntarily drop to my knees. Thank you Time Crisis, thank you for showing me how to live again.
