Comment: real hip-hop lives on through this young man. But lets state the facts. People in the industry only want to make money instead of having love for the kraft of hip hop.

Comment: True, true, and true. I didn't see it from that angle of new people coming across Dilla this way, but still MA DUKES should have more control over his estate and legacy. Looking forward to J$P!!!

Comment: Everyone talks shit about the industry but has no logical solution to fix it. I hope this cd ends up in the hands of younger kids looking up 2 garbage commercial artists like Plies,T Pain,Soulja Boy. The youth needs a collective cd like this in more stores to maybe reinforce the roots of the truest hiphop. Dilla continues to live on with compilations like this. It's a shame if you continue to dwell on the negative emphasis.

Comment: I agree man, this is b.s. I love all these tracks, all classic, but once again, its a J Dilla release after his death from a different record label, but hey, Dilla is gone, not much he can do about it. The industry is funny like that. But yeah, I do hope his ma gets a little something out of this at least.

Comment: What a useless release, they're just trying make some $ of the Dilla's name. Is it not enough that Stones Throw flooded us with Dilla releases after his death also just trying to capitalize, and allowing all these artist to jump on Donut beats when in interviews Dilla said he specifically made Donuts without emcees in mind. I just hope MA DUKES gets a piece of these profits. Its a shame she doesn't have control over his estate.
