Summary

For those of you that peeped last week's 4th installment of Foundation Friday's, you may have noticed Craig G making a very blatant dis to Necro while freestyling during his performance at 'The Foundation Album Release Party'. Well, you know that we couldn't let that go without investigating what motivated the Juice Crew legend to go at Mr. Psycho + Logical himself....alas, Foundation Friday Part 5. Don't forget to support The Foundation which you can cop here at UGHH.

Comment: With all due respect, I give credit to Craig G for laying the foundation for hip hop and I give respect to Necro for what he's done in hip hop, but you are talking about 2 totally different styles and to even make a comparision about who's better lyrically is pointless. In my last two posts almost 3 years ago, I made a point that I hadn't heard anything recent from Craig other than a 2008 album (I know he had 'Ramblings of an Angry Man' out acouple of years ago)and that Necro in the last decade or so has has put out a ton of sh*t with himself and on his label and all of his releases have been consistently good and what not (Godfathers w/ Kool G. Rap a must buy for sure)hey I might be a little biased being a Necro fan but just my opinion.

Comment: just to add to the last comment I made 3 days ago I did a little research on craig.g's career and that in 25 years in being in the rap game he's put out all of 4 albums with the most recent one being done in 2008. while necro in 10 years has put out 19 albums(his own and collabrorations w/other members of his label not to mention the cd's of ill bill, sabac red,mr.hyde, rivera regime plus dropping an ep and collabrorating with kool g.rap for the godfathers album for next year) so by comparision necro has done more in 10 years than craig.g has done in double that time. you tell me who's reppin it. from where I sit. no fuckin contest.

Comment: craig. g may be dope but, when was the last time he put an album or a single that anybody even knows about or can name in the last decade. last time I remember hearing of him was on marley marl's symphony pt.2 back in '91(20 years ago) loo how many cd's necro has put in the past decade(his own and from his label)i'm no expert or anything but, i'd say necro has him beat by a landslide.personal opinion granted but, show a craig. g track in the last decade or 2 that anyone even knows about then we'll talk.

Comment: Ha actually, Craig, yes I do remember it was in the mid/late 90s. But you're flattering yourself. You had a few punchlines here and there but nothing special. I mean when someone says nobody wants it with them they should expect honesty. So many rappers could destroy that, they just don't want it with him because they don't have a reason to; he's a nobody.

Comment: uhh yeh..craig g. vs necro...that would be a good battle, but necro obviously misinterpreted wut craig g. said so this will never happen. Plus, he said he's past all that, won't battle someone over what they rap about. The freestyle was kinda coo too, it wasn't horrible. It had it's strong points. The guy is still a legend on the mic that's for sure.

Comment: craig g is the shit and so is necro. necro gets a lot of hate becuz the majority of his fans are fucking clowns. but when it comes to the craft, his production is off the charts. deep moody basslines, banging dusty drums, he makes beats like they did when rap was real.

Comment: Craig G is a fucking legend that has battled way too many talented emcees to even be compared with Necro. Most of you are too young to recgonize the GOD- He's Juice Crew faggots. Do you know what that means? What that alone represents? He's a peer of Kool G Rap, Kane, Masta Ace....and you dare to compare him with Necro?? Thats like saying Kool G to too fucking old, or irrelevant, or too broke, or whatever other excuse you young fucks want to come up with, to battle Necro. And I love Necro's shit. But battle Craig G?!

Comment: If ya'll don't know about Craig G - He wrote some of the battle rhymes in the movie 8 mile. So don't even question his skill, he can rhyme. Now, He did battle Supernatural - they were going toe to toe, and Craig G ended the battle when Supernat stepped on the mic cord, Craig G threw the mic down and walked away. In my book, Craig G threw the towel in. I'm not famillar with Necro's music, I hear it's kinda like Horror-core (like Gravediggaz). But I am famillar with his brothers group Non-Phixion. But come on, They're both grown men. It was a misunderstanding, meet or call each other - talk it out or maybe just battle for fun, and make a good event come out of all of this mess. BATTLE, SHAKE HANDS at the end, and uplift hip hop. There's enuff room for a (New Skool) Necro and (Old Skool) Craig G in this culture. Learn from each other and move on. PEACE!!!

Comment: Yo from London - Both Necro and Craig G get BIG respeck Whoever says Necro has been the same dont get what its like being yourself, as if the psycho thug style hasnt got much to say?? Well then you arent in the environment or mindset to listen to such lyrics. He touches on many subjects with just his style alone. It aint hard to tell, loadsa haters about who dont like anything upsetting their solid certain view on life, sensitive twats! But for real Craig G should of stepped up! Its like established underground artists are afraid to battle these days, unless they are strictly battle rappers who havent released an LP... Necro would come with the heat on record and with the writtens but off the dome it would be Craig G. PEEEEEEEACE!!!!

Comment: Give me a break! Craig G is a legend, no doubt. However, listen to his freestyle at the end. Shit sounds like some playground shit and he drops racist comments(cracker). What if Necro referred to him as a...ah never mind. Necros ill, albeit because of legends like craig g. Sorry craig it's not 88' anymore. You gotta step up the skills. Plus Supernat will slaughter you any day of the week. That's really why you're afraid to battle. There I said it. Legend Yes, Currently just sucks. Peace
