Summary

But a young spring chicken back in 1998, UGHH's CEO Quest tests the high-waters of big things to come as he ventures into the bowels of the since extinct Club Hibernia in the heart of downtown Boston to garner attention for an UndergroundHipHop.com website he was just beginning to develop at the time. Using his 8mm camera, the valiant young entrepreneur captures Eminem 10 years ago in the first video interview ever conducted with the then blossoming vanilla boy wonder. Tagged on to the end of this twelve minute time-capsule, a highly intoxicated Royce Da 5'9" accompanies Eminem in the basement of Boston's infamous Middle East nightclub to discuss the origins of "Bad Meets Evil", their collaboration for the then newly released "Slim Shady LP." Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg reminds Eminem of having met Quest / UGHH before the Slim Shady LP release in another section of the city, to which Eminem (whose ego has exponentially expanded) exclaims, "Before we were dicks. Now we're BIG DICKS!"

Comment: I used to think em' was one of the best underground cats out there... and he was. until he started doing commercial shit which is wack as fuck. Bring back the real slim. When he didn't have that much money, when he didn't give a fuck, when he was hungry, when he was puting his heart into his albums. He has it all right now that is why his style is waaaack as fuck! cause he got lazy.

Comment: Van $tylez I can honestly say with a straight face that you like some of the worst hip hop albums that are made. To prove my point, allow me to state on record that you are also a fan of Twiztid and ICP.

Comment: i couldn't help but disagree with all the comments so far. not a very insightful interview, which is no discredit to the interviewer; eminem is tryin to be funny...and fails miserably. I guess the story of dre and em hooking up is cool but I already knew that.

Comment: This video is amazing. Also - despite people who haven't really listened to it talking shit, "Relapse" is a HUGE comeback for Eminem who completely lost me with "Encore." This is one of the first times I can say an artist who completely fell off has actually made a comeback. If you don't believe me... check out the album. Beats, Rhymes, Content. The storytelling is off-the-hook. It's sick. Disgusting. And not just literally.
