Interviewed By: Van Stylez Summary: Part 2 of 2: Rock The Bells 2009!!! Eyedea discusses the identity crisis he faced touring the country with Atmosphere at age 17. Referred to by Slug as a child prodigy, he discusses the book he co-wrote with Abilities' brother Derek before finishing high school: the main character having spawned his alias Oliver Heart. Heartbreak, addiction, death, regret and... dealing shrooms to his boss back when he worked as a medical records clerk form the underpinnings of a life Eyedea claims to be book worthy. Will there be an Eyedea autobiography in the near future? Check out the new album "By The Throat" at UndergroundHipHop.com. | 8/11/2009 | 10 | 4,890 |

Interviewed By: Van Stylez Summary: Part 1 of 2: Rock The Bells 2009!!! One half of the duo Eyedea & Abilities, MC Eyedea lies down (literally) on the grass with UGHH's Van Stylez (no, yes, maybe homo) for a conversation, which immediately veers away from music and into the metaphysical. The time-space continuum, existence, the afterlife, the soul and energy are all pondered in this offbeat discussion. Eyedea, who first made a name for himself battle rapping in the late 90s and has been widely revered for his strength as an emcee alongside producer Abilities, talks about taking a temporary hiatus from the rap industry to play guitar in coffee shops across the country and sing with his rock band Carbon Carousel. Eyedea's disinterest in aligning himself with any specific genre has led him to label the wide range of music embodied on his new album "post-mathcore-grunge-rock." The album "By The Throat" is produced by his accomplice Abilities and just dropped on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Cop it at UGHH.com. | 8/7/2009 | 9 | 5,011 |
 | Blaq Poet: 'Interview Pt. 2' (At Harper's Ferry - Allston, MA - 7/9/09) Video Length: 5:02 Category: Interviews Interviewed By: Van Stylez Summary: Part 2 of 2: A legend from New York's infamous Queensbridge housing projects, Blaq Poet first gained notoriety back in 1987 during the Bridge wars when he attacked KRS-One on the song "Beat You Down." This was the first of a career riddled with taking shots at made rappers including T La Rock, Kool Moe Dee, Melle Mel, LL Cool J, Rakim and the Ultramagnetic MC's the following year on "All Hell's Breaking Loose." That track cemented Blaq Poet's legacy as hip-hop's villain long before 50 Cent went at industry greats on "How To Rob." Blaq Po speaks on who he would aim at with a diss track in 2009 along with what it was like recording at Marley Marls' original house of hits on 12th Street in Queensbridge. Interviewed By: Van Stylez Summary: Part 1 of 2: Signed to DJ Premier's "Year Round Records," Queensbridge rapper Blaq Poet discusses working with Premier on their joint album "Tha Blaqprint." Notorious for spending more time in the streets than in the studio, Poet talks about growing up immersed in the violent Queensbridge housing projects. He discusses his many mentors and friends who have fallen victim to the streets, including his cousin, Screwball member KL, whom passed last year, and for whom Poet dedicates his most emotional song to date, "Never Goodbye" off the new album. | 7/21/2009 | 4 | 2,322 |
 | Inspectah Deck & Raekwon: 'Deck Curses Out Joe Budden On-Stage At Rock The Bells' (Columbia, MD - 7/12/09) Video Length: 5:43 Category: Live Performances

| Rating: | | | (4.8 Stars) |
Summary: Inspectah Deck emerges during Raekwon's set at Rock The Bells to rally Wu fans in a communal "Fuck Joe Budden." This continues a beef, which began with Budden incredulously questioning Method Man's lyrical prowess after being ranked higher than Budden himself in a "Best Rapper Ever List" released online by Vibe Magazine. While Method Man neglected to respond to the insult, Inspectah Deck released a song "House Nigga" where he calls Joe Budden a "blog thug," saying "They don't respect you outside Jersey!" Joe Budden's response: "While Inspectah Deck may be considered a legend for the one great verse he had in his 30 year career, it's 2009." Raekwon sits down with UGHH's Van Stylez after the performance to discuss his roll in the continuing fued. Stay tuned since this is merely a prelude to the in-depth interview with Raekwon coming later this week on UGHH.com! | 7/15/2009 | 18 | 46,268 |

 | Top Choice Clique (Jawn P. + MC/DJ Force + DJ Gemini): 'Interview' (At The UGHH.com Retail Store - 9/23/08) Video Length: 4:11 Category: Interviews

| Rating: | | | (5 Stars) |
Interviewed By: Van Stylez Summary: Jawn P, MC/DJ Force and DJ Gemini comprise Top Choice Clique, the premier rap group to open the doors for The Almighty RSO, EDO.G and 7L & Esoteric in Boston. The trio dominated the scene from 1989-1991, largely due to their single "Peace of Mind", which garnered them a deal with A&M Records where they graced movie soundtracks including "City Of Hope" and Mario Van Peebles' "Posse." Due to label politics the album they recorded was never released and the group members disbanded. A decade and a half later, Jawn P and Forcefeeld sit down with UGHH's Van Stylez to discuss what they've been up to during the 15 years since their record deal soured, and to talk about the long overdue release of "Reel Chemistry: The Anthology." This new double-disk courtesy of Brick Records includes TCC's original album, which was shelved, "Reel Chemistry," along with a second disc featuring the group's favorite recordings. Since the Cliques' scratchmaster DJ Gemini couldn't make the interview, the stunningly beautiful model / actress Kayla Marie graces the stage in his place, providing the necessary "moral" support. | 7/7/2009 | 2 | 627 |
