Legendary MC MF Doom (aka Zev Luv X of KMD) has opened up a lyrical wormhole which promises to result in his most unique release to date: a concept album with plenty of high comedy, street technology, and hijinks. Next-school beats by King Honey, Heat Sensor, and Max Bill move freely in the spaces between electronica and Hip Hop. Take a trip back to the origin of the Super Villain. An unanticipated time travel-machine breakdown left him stuck in the early 90s where he has no choice but to battle sucka MCs and carry out side-hustles so he can repair the time machine and go back to the future. All tracks feature original lyrics by MF Doom. Guest appearances include: M. Sayyid (Anti-Pop Consortium), Lord Sear (CM Famalam w/ Bobbito), Apani B Fly MC, and RJD2 (Def Jux)

Comment: i used to sleep on this album and pretend that I didn't like it based on a listen a long time ago. but I started listening to it about 8 months ago and decided its AMAZING on second thought. what was I thinking? I'm a huge fan of DOOM's production, but if he has to be over other beats then this is the album (this...and madvillain of course)

Comment: This was my intro album 2 Doom, and Im glad it was bcuz the shit had me fiendin for more, I couldnt stop listening 2 this when I first got it. Theres none like Doom, the man's lines are fkn hilarious, he makes Hip-Hop fun and spontaneous. The style and delivery is unparalleled, he's the definition of what a true emcee is supposed 2 be like. The beats on this one are very creative, infectious, a unique sound. I could sit here and quote all kinds of shit from this album, classic shit!

Comment: If you're like me then you're one of those people who say that hip-hop has been given a black eye from all the bullsh*t played on the radio. That also means you're still looking for that one album that will get heavy rotation in your ride, place, or portable player huh? The wait is over hip-hop heads ‘cause MF Doom's "Vaudeville Villain" is that album you should pick up and use to attack the wack. Sleeper classic no doubt!
