With a hyped election approaching, emcees and deejays alike are coming out on that political steez. Beantown emcee Virtuoso makes his way back onto the scene with his politically oriented opus, Word War II (Evolution Of The Torturer). The album features a wide array of producers -from Memo to Jaz O to Beyonder- that surprisingly makes the album coalescent. Furthermore, Virt gets Del The Funky Homosapien to make two appearances (which is almost as many as he made on the last Hiero album), as well as Akrobatik, Torche, Slaine, and Rise & Shine. 14 tracks is the perfect length for a politically heated album as any more generally becomes redundant.
