Product Details

Walt Sickenin' is his name. Hunting Park, North Philadelphia flows through his veins. A grown man's rapper...Walt is an emcee. With lyrical vengeance that strikes harder than the hammer of John Henry. His prowess and storytelling ability rival no one. Walt Sicknin' is a street legend; a North Philadelphia myth since rhyming in Olney High lunch room back in '92, striking fear in the hearts of local emcees who dared to step.

The myth of Walt Sicknin grew for nearly ten years before emerging from the concrete of Broad Street, seeking refuge in the hard, gritty music of Drumz and Llingo. Now equipped with an ultra-rugged sound that demands respect, Walt is out to take it. We present to you for the first time, Walt Sicknin'-The greatest Philly rapper you've never heard.

A Side: Sicknin Rich

Produced by DRUMAT!C for KicDrum Products, LLC
Cuts/Scratches by DRUMAT!C
Recorded by DRUMZ and LLINGO at the Bomb Shelter
Mixed by DFACE at the Dirty Labs, NY
Mastered by LEWIS PARKER for World of Dusty Vinyl

In 'Sickenin Rich', Walt brings you on a journey through what it might take to achieve ultimate wealth and just what type of richness should be considered sickenin rich- with Drumat!c supplying a sound that perfectly compliments the intentions of Walt's rhymes. The beat is both dynamically heavy and extremely ritzy sounding, all while maintaining the grit and simplicity only Drumat!c's SP-1200 can provide.

B Side: SP-12 Gauge

Produced by LLINGO APT for KicDrum Products, LLC
Cuts/Scratches by DRUMAT!C
Recorded by DRUMZ and LLINGO at the Bomb Shelter
Mixed by DFACE at the Dirty Labs, NY
Mastered by LEWIS PARKER for World of Dusty Vinyl

SP-12 Gauge' is the perfect B side track because it is extremely rugged and dirty, yet allows Walt to flex his lyrical ability and flow. The song has hard rhymes and a hard beat, with a rather sinister bass line, and thus should appeal to all you hard muthafuckas.

Comment: It's cool, but to be honest, it sounds good because there nothing else really out there right now. This would just be ok if it was in the middle of the 90's going up against alot of strong music. I am saying it because yall are comparing it to that era saying how great it is. One thing that has been bothering me is everyone on this sweating the SP1200. Its a fucking sampler, just because somebody uses it doesn't automatically make them a great producer. Its doesn't make you some cool old school producer just because you use it. It's almost like a hipster mentality on producing.

We just went deeper underground! If you enjoy something unique and different, then this is the 7" for your collection. #STAYTRUE
