Comment: True, not every cut is hot. But overall this album is blazin! I don't think the 'new sound' is new to Zion I. Its called progression. For most trax on this album, the production is far superior than previous junk.

Comment: ha Zion I trying to conform?! Riiight. Yeah it's something totally new & fresh from the guys, & it even had to grow on me (din't take long tho). You can't try to read between lines 'an shit tho. They're just making NEW music. After all that they've created over the past 10 + yrs, no, it's not my fav by a long shot. But they're True artists & they grow, evolve, & take diff paths. They have to or they just become stagnant. & personally, I do enjoy how Amp took this 1 by the horns.

Comment: I LIKE HOW THEY'RE TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT ON THIS ALBUM. WHEN I FIRST HEARD IT, I LOVED SOME SONGS AND DIDN'T CARE FOR THE REST. THEY CAME THROUGH SLC ON 4/20 AND PERFORMED AN AMAZING SHOW. THAT GAVE ME A NEW APPRECIATION FOR THE SONGS I DIDN'T LIKE. COASTIN', GEEK TO THE BEAT, CAGED BIRD & COUNTRY BAKED YAMS ARE SOME IMPRESSIVE JAMS.

Comment: I kind of like this just because it's different than every underground album I usually hear with the same played out sound . To be honest I don't think this is a great album but it is better than another "underground hip hop" Akai MPC production type album, at least to my taste - underground hip hop is usually such a predictable thing, at least they tried something different

Comment: it's about pushing music to a different level.... it's not about the old way or even the hyphy way. just like ACEY with his new album coming out "aceyalone & the lonely ones" it's all about progressing... got to have an open mind, and if not.....then your NOT a hip hop head. peace y'all.... it"s all about the PROJECT BLOWED!!!!

Comment: if any of the haterz knew the deal w/ zion, they might change their viewz. zion-i waz looking 4 a more pop sound thiz lp, az they had stated in a few inreviewz. I don't think u can hate on them 4 expanding their sound, especially when 808 music iz hittting right now. they should get propz 4 keeping their earz and their mindz open. @least the lp doesn't have young joke or lil ish stain on it!!! big upz 4 zion-i !!! antenna iz my ish, tho!!!

Comment: Jus because some one doesn't like some thing doesn't mean its hate. I am a Zion I fan and i'll let folxs no right now this ain't the one. No hating intended. I'm just not feeling it. Its not good music. Its sounds like some priveleaged ass hipster b.s. My question is Zion I Hip-hop or Hip-pop? they need to make a choice and stick to what they do best, hip-hop. If they where gonna drop this sound it should only been over sea's. I can't believe there label was ok with releasing it. I will continue to support them but I hope they read this understand that what there doing is not what we want and honestly sound unnatural and rather forced.

Comment: Great to see Amp get back to his electronic roots. LP is a classic from a production standpoint.. lyrically, zion came soft.. but the Ali track is a heater! sounds like they catered to the hipsters, but overall, best LP since True & Livin

Comment: ahhh I've been wishin' for Zion I & ALI to hook it uuuup!!! yess I'll always dig Zion I's classick stuff more, like when they 1st started in the game. Mind Over Matter is 1 of the best albums ever created, period. But I am coping this album b/c anything Zumbi & Amp touch, is always beautiful

Comment: Zion I's attempts at hyphy have actually been good but of course I love their classic style. Heroes in the City of Dope was great. One of my favorites and I think this will be great. Zumbi & Amp always deliver.
