The Fo’ Da Cycle EP, a highly anticipated release from the Baltimore Club champion Al Ripken Jr. is finally here. He’s one of the hottest up-and-coming club producers from Bawlmore County who made his first appearance on the Heavyhittaz EP alongside club heavyweight Curtis Vodka. Now, Al Ripken Jr. looks to solidify himself in the remix, mix, and edit club game with Fo Da Cycle which features three remixes and three original, all new tracks: “Space Club,” “Go Hard,” and “You’z A Trick.” Al Ripken Jr. puts his own unique spin (no pun intended) on the Baltimore Club genre and takes the more artistic road avoiding the need for crossover appeal, aiming for a raw club sound. The result? A sound more similar to Rod Lee than Tittsworth (“no shot at Titts, that’s my dude” says Ripkin). He goes straight for the jugular dropping the bass, claps, and snares without warning as each track opens rather than going with the more traditional extended musical introductions. And once he starts, he doesn’t let up. Ripken represents his city correct on Fo’ Da Cycle with six tracks that are guaranteed to make you shake your ass from start to finish.
