“the soundtrack to speaker-destroying parties across the globe.”
“one of the increasingly rare SXSW breakout acts”
TNGHT (pronounced ‘tonight’) is what happens when two of the most sought after young producers hit the studio together. Both Hudson Mohawke & Lunice have emerged over the last three years as the kings of a modern fusion of hip hop and UK underground dance music which is now reaching critical mass with global audiences and artists alike. Kanye West, Diplo and Azealia Banks have already asked to collaborate, and there will be many more A-listers to come.
The duo is releasing their genre-blending, ground-quaking beats in the form of a 5 track EP on 12″ vinyl July 24 via Warp and Lucky Me.
With buzz building as word spread of a packed headline performance at Warp’s SXSW showcase, fans went wild over YouTube rips and coveted Boiler Room streams. The media was soon to follow with BBC 1’s Zane Lowe playing a rip of EP track “Bugg’n” as his “Hottest Record in the World,” and major outlets such as Pitchfork and Fader declaring love for the project.
Hudmo & Lunice are on course for big strides together. It’s great to finally announce to the world … TNGHT
