Aceyalone has been at the forefront of the indie scene on the west coast for a decade plus fronting the legendary Freestyle Fellowship. If you're an Aceyalone fan you'll remember on his 2003 release, "Love and Hate". RJD2 threw down beats for three of the stronger tracks on the album. Obviously releasing together, they had some good chemistry going, RJ and Aceyalone now team together for a collaborative full length entitled "Magnificent City." Aceyalone just has that literacy to all his rhymes and in a weird way blends perfectly with RJD2's soulful yet subtle style of production. Basically, you get an album jam-packed with East coast style instrumentals and West coast lyricism led by the sure shot lead single "Fire." Lucky that ACD2 was only a working title by the way. Don't sleep on the Dead Ringer himself laying down some vocals either.
