Description
Clubfeet are a three-piece outfit whose songs have infiltrated hearts around the globe. Their debut album, Gold on Gold, has drawn comparisons by critics to Hot Chip, Teenagers, and Junior Boys; but their whimsical lyrics and tear-jerking melodies offer a different take on the usual tales of lost love, late night parties, and infidelities.

Of the three band mates, Cohen and Roberts are from Capetown, South Africa but have relocated to Melbourne, Australia where they met the third of the trio, Cooper, and together they found the inspiration to make this record. While listening to their mellifluous vocals and multi-layered synths, and seductive melodies, they may have you believe it was recorded on warm nights on the Cote d'Azur, and then mixed on the last Concorde over the Atlantic. However, Gold on Gold is a purely Australian creation.

They came to the attention of Plant Music via the most happenstance of ways, myspace, and the label immediately fell in love with the band. Soon after, they released the single "Teenage Suicide (Don't Do It) [SEED 024]," a rich slice of pop that cheekily references the 80's black comedy Heathers. The single featured remixes by Eli Escobar (the label's own don of disco), Swiss synth maniac Kap10Kurt, Irish-born duo The Glass, and Danish heartthrob Kasper Bjorke. Clubfeet also wrote and performed the theme song to MTV's Fanwalk UK, "Pull It Together" which closes out Gold on Gold.

Clubfeet has also done some stellar remixes for other artists such as Yeasayer, The Teenagers, The Glass and The Transients. They tour as a three-piece live act and have played at V Fest and Summerdayz, supported sold out shows with Art vs. Science and Grafton Primary, and DJ'ed everywhere from yacht parties in Cape Town, MTV parties in the U.K., to warehouse parties in Melbourne. Next stop: the USA.
