Groundbreaking, Canadian Hip Hop Pioneer K-Os will release double album BLack on BLonde April 23, 2013. Featuring hip hop legend Black Thought (The Roots), Pop Icon Travie McCoy (Gym Class Heroes), Canadian Rockers, Emily Haynes (Metric), Sebastien Granger (Death From Abov3e 1979), and 80's Pop Idol Corey Hart.

Before Kanye. Before Drake. Before Frank Ocean. Before The Weeknd. Before Odd Future. There was K-Os. K-Os returns with the double album, BLack on BLonde on April 23rd via Crown Loyalist/ Nettwerk Records (US).

BLack on BLonde is two records; one album of rock tunes, on which K-Os sings and plays drums, guitar and bass, and the other of old-school hip hop jams, including a song with his hero, Black Thought from The Roots. Making history in his hometown of Canada, BLack on BLonde is Canadian hip hoop's first double album and the only thing large enough to contain K-Os's big musical ideas.

BLack on BLonde features excting collaborations from a varied array of guests, incluing Black Thought, Travie McCoy, but also Emily Haines, Sebastian Grainger, Saukrates, Juno Award-winning Canadian singer/ songwriter Sam Roberts and many others. Making an unprecedented appearance on the album is Corey Hart ("Sunglasses At Night"), the original Canadian rock star, who came back from retirement to appear on the album. "People are going to think it's crazy, but it's that retro Corey Hart you grew up with and he kills it," says K-Os.

BLack on BLonde is the sound of heartache and ecstasy - the sound of a musician revealing himself, on both sides. "The record's harder than anything I've done before, but it's also got more spirit and more soul," he says. "The record's harder than anything I've done before, but it's also got more spirit and more soul," he says. "I'm glad hip hop music now allows for more emoting, more expressing of true feelings and more being out there and weird. I'm a kamikaze pilot, and I'm no longer afraid of being exposed."
