Description
LMNO's self-titled album was first released in August of 2001 on Battle Axe Records. Anyone who didn't cop this album the first time around should at least be familiar with LMNO from his Visionaries' albums Galleries and Sophomore Jinx. Hailing from Long Beach, CA, one of LMNO's first appearances was in the D.O.C.'s "Formula" video with Dr. Dre. This Long Beach native has also contributed to the Blak Forest's album You Are Now Entering, but didn't start getting serious recognition until Key-Kool & Rhettmatic's "E=MC5," which also featured Ras Kass, was dubbed an "underground hip-hop classic" in the February '96 issue of The Source. This past year LMNO has been busy touring and promoting his second studio album Economic Food Chain, along with the Visionaries third studio album Pangea. Leave My Name Out marked the beginning of a prosperous solo career for LMNO and is led by the Evidence (of Dilated Peoples) produced tracks "Radient" and "Grin & Bear It." The album also boasts additional production by Keykool, Rob The Viking, Nucleus, and Mechanic along with appearances by J-Rocc of the Beatjunkies and Kut Master Kurt on the turntables. LMNO is currently in the studio recording his third album P's & Q's, to be released on Up Above Records this June.
