Description
Since 1991, LA natives RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE have been known for their signature blend of hardcore, funk, metal, and rap influenced by their controversial revolutionary political beliefs and activism. Since their legendary reunion at the 2007 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival they have continued to tour the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and are planning a 2008 summer tour in Europe, re-cementing their status as an international force found not just in the music world but within the political world too.

The People Of The Sun 10" EP was originally released as a single from RATM's second album, 1996's Evil Empire, earning a Grammy nod for best hard rock performance for the song "Bulls On Parade" and later for "People Of The Sun." This 10" also serves four live tracks, three of which are not found on the original CD single release. The live tracks "Intro," "Zapata's Blood," and "Without a Face" were recorded live at the Pink Pop, May 27th 1996. The B-side track inspired by an Allen Ginsberg poem, "Hadda Be Playing on the Jukebox," was recorded live at Milan Dragway, Detroit, July 9th 1993.
