Soul Position's first EP, "Unlimited", was unbelievable and pretty much defined to me what an EP should be all about. The only problem is that instead of wetting your appetite for some serious full length action in "8 Million Stories", the album leaves you seriously uninspired, kind of as if you're wandering aimlessly in (H)urban Outfitters with your girlfriend, who happens to be searching for that perfect ever so cute tank top. "Things go better with RJ and Al" really showed up out of nowhere. I'm a record nerd at my own admittance but all of a sudden promos were out and this thing was on all the calendars. Who cares though, this album is a huge step up from RJ and Blueprint's last go around, with expectations fully met. Recommended and a good listen all the way through. Some of the older Gang Starr Foundation type heads over at the office are even giving this some attention - breaking the whole pre millenium or broke mold.
