Description
This is the first single from Statik's long awaited up and coming production album that will feature Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Sheek Louch, Kool G Rap, KRS One, Large Professor, Nas, Mims, Q-Tip, OC, Termanology and many more!
"No Holding Back" featuring a classic team up of Hip Hop power houses AZ and Cormega sets off the single right with some classic NYC verse trading from a couple of the most consistent MCs in the game. The Beantown side pairs Statik's long time MC partners and Brick Records alum Reks and Term for an ode to all the fake thugs and gangsters out there. "Hardcore (So You Wanna Be)" is top notch stuff from two of Murdah Ma$$'s most talented spitters. The single is rounded off nicely with the soon to be classic "Did What We Had To Do." KRS One, Large Professor and L Da Headtoucha all focus on the struggles and determination it took for them to become some of the best ever.
With his name ringing bells and stock climbing through the roof throughout 2006 and 2007, international DJ sensation Statik Selektah came hard, spear-heading albums from Termanology and Granite State, and classic official mixtapes with Nas, G-unit, Royce Da 5'9"and AZ to name a few, the world is listening. Statik has recently been featured on MTV Mixtape Mondays (4 times), BET's Rap City, XXL Magazine, The Source, and frequents Eminem's Shade 45 Station.
Currently residing in New York City, catch Statik weekly on airwaves across America including Sirius Satellite/Shade 45, 93 WBLX in Mobile AL, KMJJ in Shreveport LA, WIZF in Cincinnati OH, and various mixshows weekly on FM stations across the world.
