Strictly The Best Vol. 33
Vinyl LP Record
Strictly the Best on a year-to-year basis is what end of the year compilations should be like. Record companies are obviously going to hit you with the yearly onslaught of great holiday gifts like Best Of's for people who are still putting out music today and horribly designed Nirvana box sets with mostly garage or is that garbage filler? But VP doesn't mess around, they take the biggest tunes and slap them together in great quality every year and this is no different. This compilation front to back has the biggest tunes that dropped this year. It's nice when these drop because 45s if not picked up immediately a few months down the line can be a pain in the ass to track down. Actually going out and finding these tracks (assuming you're not in the heart of the city) would be somewhat of a task. "Willie Bounce", "Too Bloody", "Notorious", and "Run Out Pon Dem" round out some of the biggest dance tunes of the year. Then throw in some tunes that have recently dropped and are huge right now like Busy Signal "Not Going Down" and rising star Idonia's biggest effort to date "Lolly" and at what some would refer to as an introductory price, this rules.
