Clutchy and Fatty….High desert crunch meets city life punch for this collaborative project in sound. Instrumental elements of soul, jazz, hip-hop, rock and more resonate throughout the record. Acoustic and electric instrumentation set the tone and in their individual stlyes; Clutchy and Fatty navigate your journey through psych folk caverns of cactus dust to bloodshot rust-covered marine layer funk. It is distinctive, original and fresh, paying homage to the past, present and future. Visionary folk funk.

Contact Field Orchestra is produced by Southern California artist and musician Damon Aaron. In 2008 he came across a box of 7″ tapes at an estate sale in Altadena that turned out to be field recordings of a turn-of-the century orchestra of ex-miners; recorded almost entirely with hand-made instruments and contact microphones. This became the source material for a collection of celebrated releases with Hit+Run.
Fifth–and boldest–album to date, called DUO on Fake Four Inc. With a guest on each track, Onry’s features range from Homeboy Sandman and Aesop Rock to the indie musician Nathan Quiroga (of Iska Dhaaf). “I didn’t plan it this way,” explains Onry. “I got a couple features who I really wanted and then, as I laid out the tracks, it became a story. Other names popped into my head whom would round out the album.” In addition, Onry recruits a wide range of producers–SmokeM2D6, Void Pedal, Latrell James and Jack Rylands–which results in a hip-hop album imbued with electronic, folk, and punk.
