Originally from Brighton, Kutmah made his name while living in the US, releasing some acclaimed mix tapes and building up connections with the Brainfeeder & Low End Theory crews. In 2010 he was deported to the UK, lived in London for 5 years and now resides in Berlin (while still holding down a show on the East London-based radio station NTS). In Summer 2015, prolific leftfield beatmaker Kutmah released the 20-track instrumental beat album BLK/SMR on Bandcamp. During March 2016 he selected & sequenced his favorite nine tracks for this limited-edition 10″ vinyl / cassette version of BLK/ SMR on HIT+RUN.
Down in scenic Auckland, New Zealand, tucked in a small basement studio, musician Leonard Charles & his friends paid tribute to Dilla’s landmark release of “Donuts” by re-recording the entire 31-track album on live instruments. Charles gives the tracks a modern funk reinterpretation on live bass, drums, clavinet, Rhodes & synths – sans any sampling of the original source or sourced material. Featuring vocals by Anji Toy, Adi Dick, Ruby Walsh and Georgia Anne Muldrow on the emotional tribute “Airworks (Forever)”.
los angeles native, dyed in the wool hooligan zeroh gets loud, technical and strange all over again on his new ten track album TINNITUS. organized noise was haphazardly strung together and embellished amongst 15+ hours of music in a dark smokey garage on little to no sleep. the severity of this raw bludgeoning echoes pain in the heads and ears of your typical everyman in an attempt to bring them to higher state of consciousness. zeroh emanates a low glowing light close to the chest… the one saving grace for this genius god awful cacophony.

Contact Field Orchestra is produced by Southern California artist and musician Damon Aaron. In 2008 he came across a box of 7″ tapes at an estate sale in Altadena that turned out to be field recordings of a turn-of-the century orchestra of ex-miners; recorded almost entirely with hand-made instruments and contact microphones. This became the source material for a collection of celebrated releases with Hit+Run.
This nine-song EP was recorded in Fall 2015 utilizing a new 24-track supplied by Sach’s long-time contemporary Giovanni Marks (aka Subtitle). The results are an eclectic progression of his laid-back jazzy production style & delivery first introduced back in his formative years with The Nonce. Live drums, bass & saxophone were woven into ‘fiDELITY”, alongside scratching & percussion by long-time accomplice DJ E-Spinfiniti.
