Shipping this Monday! Only 500 copies made. “Funky” is just that – an instrumental driven by growling guitars, dirty Moog melodies, Meters-inspired live drumming and an 8-bar break that lives up to the title. The b-side/vocal cut, “Go Back To Sellin’ Weed,” attacks rap squeegeemen aggressively selling rap CD-R demos in the street and celebrities on the other end of the income spectrum abusing Kickstarter. With cameos from Prince Paul and J-Zone sidekick/antagonist, Chief Chinchilla, the pitiful cheapening of hip-hop is addressed with the trademark humor the three rap misfits are known for.
